Amanda Jakositz, ARNP

Dr. Jakositz was a nurse for 13 years before returning to school to become a registered nurse practitioner. While doing her clinical studies, she found time and again that the patient problems she was treating stemmed from a common root cause—sleep disorders. This, coupled with her passion for preventative medicine, drew her into the field of pulmonology and sleep medicine. Preventive medicine improves the quality of life for patients. It means more times doing the things you enjoy, and less time managing a long list of prescriptions or office visits. Dr. Jakositz’s goal is to get you out of the doctor’s office and back to the activities you love by treating the root cause of your health condition, rather than just the symptoms, and have a positive impact on the health of her patients.
